BIG CHANGE for This Year’s Holiday Lights Contest!
The City of Park Hills is excited to announce the 2025 Holiday Lights Contest , inviting residents and businesses across the city to share their holiday spirit and compete for cash prizes! This year’s contest brings a new format that puts the spotlight on the community. In past years, City Council Members selected which homes appeared in the contest. This year, participation is open to everyone: residents and businesses are encouraged to submit their own photos for public voting. How to Enter Submit a clear photo of your decorated home or business by December 15, 2025. Entries must be submitted by email to holidaylights@parkhillsmo.net All Entries Must Include The Following Information: Full Name Property Address Category: Residential or Business Contact Phone Number Public Voting All eligible entries will be posted on the City of Park Hills Facebook page beginning December 16. Residents can vote by “liking” their favorite photos through December 21. Winners will be announced on December 22. Prizes Residential: 1st Place – $100 | 2nd Place – $50 | 3rd Place – $25 Business: 1st Place – $100 | 2nd Place – $50 There’s no entry fee, and anyone within the city limits is welcome to join. Homes and businesses that have won within the past two years are not eligible to win this year but are encouraged to participate for fun. BOIL ADVISORY LIFTED
January 23, 2025 The City of Park Hills is pleased to announce that the boil water advisory issued on January 19th has been lifted for the following area: Affected Area (Previously Under Advisory): Main Street to Jefferson From 4th Street to 8th Street All areas within these boundaries Water testing has confirmed that the water is now safe for consumption and all normal water usage may resume. We thank our residents for their patience and cooperation during this period. If you experience any issues with your water service, please contact the Utilities Department at 573-431-2280.

Bulk Trash Ward 4
The Bulk Trash Pick-Up For Ward 4 is scheduled for the Week of December 9, 2024. The cost is $10.00 and must be paid at City Hall by FRIDAY, December 6, 2024 , in order to participate. Rules and Guidelines for Bulk Trash Pick-Up: Bulk trash collection may include household furniture and appliances, with a total WEIGHT NOT TO EXCEED 1/2 TON with NO SINGLE ITEM TO EXCEED 250 LBS. Exceeding these limits may result in items being left behind. Bulk trash items MAY NOT INCLUDE vegetative matter, tires, batteries, other hazardous materials, or construction debris. Appliances that have compressors and/or Freon (i.e. refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, etc.) MUST have the compressor removed. All items for pick-up MUST BE CURBSIDE in front of your home. NO alley or side-street pick-ups are allowed! All items MUST be set out by Monday Morning of the week of your scheduled pickup. If you would like to participate in the bulk trash pick-up for your ward, you MUST REGISTER at City Hall no later than the Friday Before your scheduled pickup week. Flash Flood WARNING
The National Weather Service in Saint Louis has issued a Flood Watch for St. Francois and other counties in Missouri. The watch is effective 9:33 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2024, until 12:30 p.m. today. At 933 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please, be on alert, stay safe, and tune to your local media sources for important updates! Street Closures!
STREET CLOSURES for SFC Dog Dayz Event to be held SATURDAY, JULY 13TH To accommodate the SFC Dog Dayz fundraiser for local animal charities, the following streets will be temporarily closed: 200 & 300 Blocks of West Main: 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM Rinke Street from Main to Franklin: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM These closures will allow for the safe operation of the event, including the Pet & Hoomans Parade on Main Street at 9:00 AM. The Dog Dayz event at 104 Rinke St. Park Hills will feature food trucks, vendors, pet adoptions, demonstrations, contests, and family entertainment. All proceeds benefit local animal charities, shelters, and rescues. We appreciate your understanding and encourage everyone to come out and support this worthy cause. Flood Watch
The National Weather Service in Saint Louis has issued a Flood Watch for St. Francois and other counties in Missouri. The watch is effective from late tonight, Monday, July 8, 2024, through Wednesday, morning, July 10, 2024. Rainfall amounts of 2-4 inches are expected within the watch area which may lead to instances of flash flooding along with river flooding. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
